Study Abroad

Studying abroad is an eye-opening experience for students willing to gain a firsthand insight into other cultures and societies different than theirs. Morocco is a popular destination among international students interested in learning Arabic language and seeking immersion into the vibrant Moroccanculture characterized by diversity, hospitality and openness.

Based in the imperial city of Rabat - Morocco’s administrative and cultural capitalLANGZONE center offers a rich summer study abroad program that enables students to learn about the uniqueness of Morocco and commonalities that shares with other countries in the MENA region and the rest of the Arab world.

We enrich our participants’ learning experience through guaranteeing an interactive atmosphere between them and our professors, staff members, invited expert lecturers, host families, local university students and NGO actors.

Program components

Languages

Aabic courses

Being the official language in twenty Arab nations, Fus’ha is commonly used in formal and academic situations - religious settings, news broadcasts, literature, business and administrative correspondences. Our exchange program offers a variety of Fus’ha classes based on each student’s level with the option of private tutoring for advanced-level students.

Darija courses

Undoubtedly,Moroccan Arabic(‘Darija) is the most controversial dialect in the Arab world. It is a mixture of Fus’ha (classical Arabic), Amazigh language (tongue of North African indigenous people), French, and Spanish. Being the key for everyday life interaction in most Morocco, Darija is thought to be derived mainly from Fus’ha and the three versions of Amazigh language.

Homestay

A significant component set for a fruitful cultural immersion. Students will be placed in local families to learn more about the host culture from a family perspective as well as to enhance their linguistic abilities. To make the most out of the experience we highly encourage our participants to use as much Arabic/Moroccan Arabic/French as possible with their family members.
